Donald R. Mershon
Donald R. Mershon, 71, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at his residence in Mooresville.
He was born May 19, 1931, in Indianapolis. His parents were Louis and Mary (Corn) Mershon. He married Betty R. Seifert on March 31, 1951, in Indianapolis. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Debbra Starling and Roberta Sparks, both of Indianapolis, and Linda Berkholz of Mooresville; two brothers, Lewis Mershon of Fairland and Charles ÒChuckÓ Mershon of Florida; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ottinger.
He was employed by Gardner Denver as a machinist for 11 years, retiring in 1996. He was previously employed by Schwitcher Cummins as a mechanical engineer for 30 years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and Optimist Club, both in Mooresville.
The Rev. Don Endsley will conduct a service at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
