Mrs. Kate Medaris, 101 years old, died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. L. N. Apple, at Brooklyn, last Friday night. She was born in North Carolina on the 24th of June 1798. She leaves 130 living descendants—two sons, thirty grandchildren, eighty-two great grandchildren, fifteen great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandson, who was born to Mr. and Mrs. Orval Beeler, at Friendswood, March 10, 1899. Deceased was the grandmother of A. J. Beeler, of this city.
