Purdue Alumnus, Dies
At Home in Colorado
Word has been received here of the death of Herbert D. McCaslin, which occurred May 14, in Byers, Colo., following a short illness. Mr. McCaslin, who was graduated from Purdue university in 1904, receiving the degree of bachelor of science in mechancal engineering, was born in Franklin, Ind. March 8, 1882. He was vice-president of his graduating class and a member of the Emersonian Literary society.
Before going to Byers to accept a postmastership, he was an instructor at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colo. Shortly after his graduation from Purdue he was married to Miss Nancy Noble. The widow and four children survive him.
