Mrs. R. V. Marshall
Mts. Rep.: Mrs. Elizabeth F. Marshall, wife of Prof. Randolph Van Marshall, died Saturday at her home in Des Moines, Iowa. Her death was sudden, as she had only been sick since Thursday, when she was stricken with paralysis.
Mrs. Marshall was well known here as she lived here several years while Mr. Marshall had charge of the public schools and afterwards was postmaster. They left here about twenty years ago. Mrs. Marshall was a daughter of Adam Gray, one of the earliest settlers of Brown County. She was married in this county fifty-six years ago, when sixteen years of age. She leaves a husband and three sons. Her family are nearly all buried at Mt. Olive church.
