George Mangum, a former resident of Franklin, died at Indianapolis, Tuesday. The remains were brought here for burial.
W. D. Green and wife, of Indianapolis were here Wednesday to attend the funeral of George Mangum, whose remains were brought from that city for burial.
Note: The Marion County Indiana WPA Death Index, 1882–1920 referencing Book H-6, page 293, records that George Mangun [sic], a 73 year old white male, died 10 Oct 1897 in Indianapolis.
