Mrs. Elizabeth Goetz, aged seventy-five years, died Monday afternoon between twelve and one o’clock at her home in Union township. The funeral took place from St. John’s Thursday morning at 11 o’clock, conducted by Rev. W. S. Sigmund, of this city. The burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

OBITUARY.
Mrs. Elizabeth Goetz was born in Germany July 23, 1833. Died Dec. 23, 1907 at her home near the Ohio Ridge. When a girl of eight years she came with her parents to Baltimore. In a few years they moved to Bartholomew County. On June the 14, 1855 she was married to Jacob Goetz, to them were born twelve children, one son dying in infancy. Her husband died May 17, 1895. The children living are Mrs. Young Coffman, Mrs. John Coffman and James Goetz of Nineveh, Mrs. John Long, Mrs. Lewis Royes and Mrs. Philip Wearfer of Taylorsville, Mrs. Charles Wirey, Mrs. Chas. Stillabower of Edinburg, John and Jacob Goetz of Columbus and George Goetz of Valparaiso. She leaves fifty-six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn their loss. The funeral was held at St. John’s church Thursday at 12 o’clock conducted by Rev. W. S. Signerend of Columbus.
