Death of W. J. Fisher.
Squire W. J. Fisher, after a long and painful illness from cancer, died at noon Tuesday at his home near Bengal [Shelby County]. For many years he had served as justice of peace and was a man held in the highest respect by all his neighbors. Deceased was fifty years old, a son of Michael Fisher and was born on the farm on which he died. He was a cousin of ex-commissioner Henry Fisher, and of John Fisher, of Urmeyville. Funeral services were held at Second Mt. Pleasant yesterday, conducted by Rev. P. O. Duncan.
