WAYMAN C. FERGUSON
Wayman C. Ferguson, 62, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He was born Nov. 9, 1938, in Tompkinsville, KY. His parents were Amos Estel and Eula (Kingery) Ferguson. He married Willie B. (O’Neal) Ferguson on April 18, 1959. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Charles A. Ferguson of Indianapolis and Darryl W. Ferguson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughters, Sharyl J. Hamblen of Jamestown; two sisters Naomi R. Jones of Indianapolis and Cherylan J. Geary of Beaver Dam, Ky.; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Roy; and a brother Amond G. Ferguson.
He was employed for 27 years by General Motors at Allison Plant 8 as a machinist, retiring in 1993.
He was a member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis and United Auto Workers Union Local 933.
Elder Bruce Adamson will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
