Michael [sic] and Ella [sic] Dugan age ten and twelve years respectively [sic] were drowned Wednesday in Eagle Creek in the extreme southeastern part of West Indianapolis. They had started out to get bean poles. From the appearance of the bank of the creek near where the bodies were found and from scratches on the boy’s face, it is supposed the sister slipped into the creek and the brother plunged in to rescue her, both however, meeting a watery grave. They were the children of Patrick Dugan.
