Lillie Hester Taylor Bullock, the mother of Pauline Betts of Nineveh, died Thursday, June 30, 1994, at Major Hospital in Shelvbyville [sic].
A resident of that city, Mrs. Bullock was 88.
She was born July 15, 1905, in Pulaski County, Kentucky, to Frank and Mary Mollie Taylor.
She and Jessie C. Bullock were married August 25, 1921. He died August 10, 1945.
Mrs. Bullock moved to Shelbyville in 1946. She was an active member of that city’s Evangelical Methodist Church.
Other survivors include two sons, Ben Bullock of Shelbyville and Carl B. Bullock of Kattawa, Kentucky; two other daughters, Irene Bullock of Shelbyville and Doris A. Pettijohn of Martinsville; three sisters, Nellie Davis, Eva French and Frances Berdel, all of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
James Coulston conducted a service Saturday morning at the Evangelical Methodist Church in Shelbyville. Interment was in the Second Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Johnson County.
The Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home in Shelbyville was in charge of arrangements.
