early Sunday mor-
ning of a heart at-
tack while receiv-
ing treatment in
the emergency room
at Bartholomew
County Hospital.
  Mrs. Beldon who
had been in failing
health the past
two years was at
the home of Mrs.
Hash when she be-
came ill Saturday
night and was tak-
en to the hospital
in the Edinburgh
Rescue unit.
  She had spent
part of the summ-
er convalescing
at the home of Mrs.
Griffith after her
first attack in
June and this fall
was staying with
Mrs. Hash.
  Funeral services
were today at 1:30
p.m. at the Tampi-
co Baptist Church
and burial was at
the Russell Chapel
Cemetery. Calling
hours had been
held at the Koven-
ers Funeral Home
in Crothersville.
  Mrs. Beldon, the
former Cora May
Waskom, was born
June 16, 1900, in
Jackson County, In-
diana, the daught-
er of William Bar-
low and May Cox
Waskom. She was
married to Earl
Beldon March 2,
1918, at Browns-
town. Mr. Beldon
preceded in death
in January of 1969.
  The deceased was
active as a member
of Tampico Baptist
Church at Crothers-
ville, was a memb-
er of the Order of
Eastern Star, ac-
tive also in T.B.
Seals sales and
many community and
civic affairs.
  Survivors in-
clude seven daugh-
ters: Mrs. Archie
Turner, Sr., of Co-
lumbus, Mrs. Glen
Cunningham of Sel-
lersburg, Mrs. Har-
lan Nierman of La-
keland, Fla., Mrs.
Ray Jones of Evans-
ville, Mrs. Griff-
ith and Mrs. Hash
of Edinburgh, and
Mrs. Leon Hoevener
of Indianapolis.
Also surviving
are 27 grandchil-
dren and six great-
grandchildren and
one sister, Mrs.
Pollie Teipen of
Seymour.
  A granddaught-
er Lana Turner,
precede in death
in February of
1953.
