D. P. [sic] Baldwin, formerly editor and proprietor of the Hope News Journal, is lying at his home in Hope, in a dangerous condition from a severe attack of typhoid fever. Just prior to his taking ill he closed the contract for the New Era, a Democratic weekly at Greensburg. At one time yesterday Baldwin’s temperature reached the alarming point of 118. At noon today he was reported somewhat better, but there is yet no hope for his recovery.
