Mrs. Mahala Allen, wife of John Allen, who formerly resided at Edinburg, died Sunday at her home in Indianapolis, aged 50 years.

Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana, page 39, records that Mahala Alllen died on 1 Apr 1900, aged 57 years, at 1704 College Ave from paralysis caused by a fourth stroke. She was female, white and married, born in Indiana. Her father’s and mother’s names and birthplaces were unknown. Burial in Crown Hill, Charles T. Whitsett, undertaker.
