Robert Thomas Aaron
Robert Thomas Aaron died Dec. 29, 2005 after a courageous fight with cancer. Bob was born in Fonthill, Ky., to Vernon and Daisy Aaron. He moved to Oregon in 1959. Shortly after moving to Oregon, Bob enlisted in the Army and was deployed to Germany. He served for two years, earning a Medal of Good Conduct. Bob then enlisted the Army Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1964.
His wife, Barbara Aaron, survives Bob; her friend and faithful companion for more than 19 years. Bob’s brother Ralph, preceded him in death. His sister, Hazel French of Franklin also survives him. His daughters, Dayle Boivin of Jacksonville, Fla., Robin Buckner of Franklin, Tenn., Renee Spellman of Louisville, Ky., and Christa Hosley of Sheridan; and his son, Robert Brent Aaron of Louisville, Ky., survive him. His stepdaughters Dana DenHerder of Salem, Ore., and Daphne DeHart of Prineville, Ore., stepson Derrick Ivey of Willamina, Ore., and several granchildern also survive Bob.
Bob was a skilled builder and has renovated and built many homes in the Sherican-Willamina, Ore., area. He enjoyed spending time in the forest, hunting and driving the back roads with Barbara.
Bob will always be remembered for his easy-going, gentle manner. He is loved by many and will be missed by then all. We have been blessed to have Bob in our lives, as he has touched us all in many ways.
A celebration of life service was conducted at Buell Grange, outside of Sheridan, Ore., on Jun. 7.
