David Zook one of the oldest resi­dents living near Morgantown, was stricken with paralysis last Saturday night. One whole side is affected, also his vocal organs, rendering him unable to speak. Over a year ago he was stricken but had rallied from its effects. At present he is in a critical condition.

David Zook, who was mentioned a few weeks ago in the Democrat as having been stricken with paralysis, died at his home near Morgantown, last Friday night. He was in his seventy-eighth year and was one of the most highly respected citizens in his com­munity. The funeral took place Sunday morning at 11 o’clock First Mt. Plea­sant conducted by E. F. Daugherty.
