Death of Mrs. Edwin Yount.

Mrs. Matilda Caroline Yount, wife of Edwin Yount, and mother of Cortland Yount, a former popular student of Franklin college, died at her home just north of Greenwood, Thursday. She had been ill for two years.

Mrs. Yount was born in 1860 and was married to Mr. Yount Dec. 23, 1880. She was the mother of nine children, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Newton Lawrence of Clark township, and Miss Ona Yount and Cortland, Chester, Myron, Granville, Russell and Donald Yount. She also leaves a brother, Brent Green, and a sister, Mrs. Nora Jeffries, both of whom live at Independence, Kans.

Cortland Yount arrived this morn­ing from Wisconsin where he has been engaged in commercial organ­ization extension work.

Mrs. Yount was one of the most beloved women in North Pleasant township. She was a beautiful mother, devoting her life to her children and her home. She idol­ized her home and her children idolized her. She had been a life long member of the Glade Methodist church.

Funeral services will be held at the Greenwood Methodist church Satur­day morning at 11 o’clock conducted by the Rev. Mr. Bright­mire.

Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Yount of Hensley township, and Prof. Warren Yount of Franklin, will attend the services.

Funeral of Mrs. Edwin Yount.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Edwin Yount were held at the Methodist church at Greenwood this morning at ten o’clock. The Rev. W. H. Brightmire was in charge.

The casket bearers were the six sons of Mrs. Yount. They were, Birchel, Courtland, Granville, My­ron, Chester and Donald. The flow­er bearers were, Miss Gladys Law­rence, James Lawrence, Leone Ter­hune, Laura Drake, and Chester Law­rence, Jr. A quartet composed of Ebert Dearmine, Lacy Demaree, Clifton Threlkeld and Emerson Car­son sang. Burial was at Green­wood.
