John H. Yelton, age 71 years, died from cancer Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial services were held Monday at 11 o’clock a.m. at Second Mt. Pleasant church, conducted by Rev. P. O. Duncan. Deceased was a brother of W. B. Yelton living near Amity, and the father of Mrs. John Clark, of Clark’s Mill. He leaves a wife and three children.
