Death of Frank Wright.
Benjamin Franklin Wright was born in Larue county, Kentucky, July 16, 1856, and died Dec. 19, 1896, at his home north of town, age 40 years, 4 months and 3 days.
He came to Franklin in 1882, and has been a resident of Johnson county fourteen years. He was married Sept. 8, 1886, to Ida May Simon daughter of John B. Simon and wife. To them was born one daughter, Bertha, now a bright little girl of six years.
He joined the M. E. church at the age of sixteen in Larue county, Ky., and continued his membership in that church until his death. He was a kind, true and loving husband and affectionate father, always ready to do his duty, and in his business relations with other men always honorable and upright.
Deceased had been in a poor health for more than a year, gradually growing worse, from a cancerous affection of the abdomen. He endured his suffering which was at times intense, with patience and fortitude. At the end he was found ready and willing to die and asked his friends to meet him in heaven. Funeral services were held at the residence Monday, Dec. 21, conducted by Rev. G. M. Smith.
His wife and little daughter with many friends are left to mourn their loss. What is their loss is heaven’s gain.
