MISS MAE WOOD.

Miss Mae Wood, after an illness of ten weeks of typhoid fever, died early Friday morning at the home of her parents in east Franklin. She was the daughter of Wm. Wood, deceased, and was born in Ripley county, August 29, 1878. Her parents moved soon after her birth to Nebraska, where the father died. The family then returned to Indiana, and for many years have resided in Franklin. About eight years ago the mother was united in marriage to James Brown. Two brothers, Garner Wood, employed at the J., M. & I. Depot, and George Wood, traveling for a New York dry goods firm, with the mother survive, the latter having just recovered from an attack of typhoid fever.

Deceased was of a kind and amiable disposition and greatly beloved by her associates.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the resi­dence, conducted by Rev. E. W. Gar­diner, assisted by Dr. Story and Rev. Wallace St. John. Burial at Greenlawn.
