Mrs. C. C. Wilson died Saturday morning at seven o’clock in this city at the home of W. B. Jennings, where she has lived the past two years. Death was due to Bright’s disease. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the residence conducted by Rev. L. P. Marshall, after which the remains were taken to Columbus for interment. Deceased was born in Jennings county in 1840 and the greater part of her life was spent at Columbus, where she assisted her husband in conducting the old Bissell hotel, now the Belvedere. Her son Charles Wilson, for a number of years, conducted the Merchant’s hotel in this city and after his death the widow, Mrs. Belle Wilson, remained in charge two years.
