OBITUARY

Emma Ann Combs was born near the Glade March 5, 1855, died March 27, 1893, aged thirty-eight years and two days. She was married to Geo. W. Wilson May 25 1871. To this union were born eight children, one died in infancy. Seven still survive, five dau­ghters and two sons, the youngest a new born girl. She united with the Presbyterian church when in her ele­venth year and in 1876, she united with the Glade M. E. church and since has been a faithful consistent Christian member. She was a very quiet mother, a faithful wife, a kind hearted and good neighbor. It seems so sad that mothers must thus be taken from little ones, but we see dimly now as through a smoked glass but by and by we shall see face to face and be known as we are known. She is missed in her circle. Funeral services occurred in Glade church by Rev. Meade Wednesday.    W.
