OBITUARY.
After ten days of intense suffering with congestion of the bowels, Miss Bessie Dean Wilson, the sixteen year old daughter of county clerk elect Dault Wilson and wife, died last Monday morning shortly before 6 o’clock at her home in Greenwood. The deceased was a great favorite among her friends at school and the young people in that vicinity. She united with the Methodist church on Feb. 26th, 1896, and was a faithful member until death. The funeral occurred Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock from the above church, services being conducted by Rev. F. M. Westhafer, her former pastor, assisted by Rev. T. G. Cocks of this city and the local ministers of Greenwood. The church was inadequate to hold the vast number of young people in attendance. At noon she was tenderly laid away in the beautiful cemetery, west of town, to await the resurrection morn. The grief stricken parents have the deepest sympathy of the entire community in this their greatest affliction. A large number of relatives and friends from this city were in attendance.

Between last Fourth and this the Methodist Sabbath school has lost two dear sweet members in the death of Bessie Wilson and Blanche Kinnick, and both out of the same class. They still live but sadly absent.
God in His providences and in His own wise and loving ways (so meant for us) is coming to many homes and hearts in our community, and many had best heed His teaching ere it is too late.
