An infant son of Jacob Williams, living east of Smiley’s Mill, was buried Sunday morning at Second Mt. Pleasant.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Hendricks Township, Shelby County, Certificate and Record of Death, page 345 records that Claud L. Williams died at about 4 o’clock a. m. on 17 Aug 1900 in Hendricks Township from enterocolitis, aged one years, eleven months and seventeen days, born in Shelby County, Indiana. He was male, white, single with no occupation recorded. His father’s name was Jacob Williams and his mother’s maiden name Flora Atwood, both born in Shelby County, Indiana. The informant was Jacob Williams. Claud was buried in Nineveh on 22 Aug 1900, E. G. Barnhizer, undertaker.
