==============================

W. D. Willard and other members of the family removed the remains of their parents a few days ago from the family burying ground in Shelby County, to Second Mt. Pleasant cemetery. The father, Henry Willard, had been buried thirty-three years. He had been placed in a metallic coffin which was hermetically sealed. On removing the lid over the glass, the features of Mr. Willard were found to be preserved as naturally as the day he was buried. There was no sign of the least change in his appearance. The grandson, John N. Willard, who had never seen his grandfather alive assisted in removing the remains, and it was naturally gratifying to him especially to behold the face of his grandfather who had died before he was born, and see the form and face as natural as in life. The remains of the first and second wife of Mr. Willard were also removed. The former had been buried 40 years, the later 30 years. Their remains were hardly so well preserved.
