Irene Willard

Irene Willard, 83, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin. She lived in Jollity commun­ity for 55 years.

She was born May 13, 1917, in John­son County. Her parents were Andrew and Prudence (Schrougham) Robertson. She married John R. Willard on Oct. 23, 1935. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Bob Willard of Shelby County; three daughters, Linda Barrett of Franklin, MaryAnn Kopelov of Den­ver, Colo., and Janey Hall of Torrance, Calif.; two sisters, Ione Burgett of Lon­don, Ky., and Gladys Andrews of Hope; and six grandchildren. She was preced­ed in death by four brothers and three sisters.

She was a homemaker.

She was a longtime member of Jollity United Methodist Church and a member of Blue River Home Econom­ics Club in Edinburgh and Business Wom­en’s Club in Edinburgh.

The Rev. Wayne Smith will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Thursday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
