OBITUARY.
Emma White departed this life Aug. 3, 1891, after an illness of about six months. She was married to George R. White May 2nd 1883. While in the midst of the joys of life she was taken with that dread disease, consumption, and the grim monster death called and she obeyed, leaving a husband and many aching hearts to mourn her loss. During her sickness she was not heard to murmur or complain but bore her sickness with a smiling patience until death had sealed her lips. Here there is a vacancy, in heaven one more tie; on earth one less. No companion’s warning voice is heard speaking a warning word to guide aright the footsteps of her husband or impart a word of cheer. The funeral services were held at the Mt. Olive church, Rev. Charley Spicer officiating, after which the remains were taken to the Hurricane cemetery for interment.
