Death of Mrs. John White.
Mrs. Carrie White, wife of John White, the present deputy sheriff, died last Friday morning a little past 12 o’clock, at her home in this city. Until a little more than a year ago Mr. and Mrs. White resided in Edinburg, coming to Franklin after the former had been appointed deputy sheriff. She had been in poor health for some time but not until within the last few months had her condition become critical. Death was due to lung trouble.
The remains were taken to Edinburg where funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 8 o’clock.
Deceased’s maiden name was Carrie Rubenstein. She was married to John White in November 1876, and at the time of her death was in her forty-fourth year. Besides the husband three children survive, two sons and one daughter, who have the profound sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
Deceased was a most estimable lady and had a large circle of warm friends and acquaintances.
