James Welsh [sic], who was so horribly crushed by the cars at Columbus on Monday morning died at 3 o’clock that afternoon, after suffering greatly. The body showed no outward marks save a slight cut on the face, the injuries being in the chest. The body was brought to the young man’s home in Edinburg where the funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon. Deceased was a hard-working young man and was the main support of his sister and aged father.
