TAYLORSVILLE Almeda Watson Almeda Watson, 84, died Saturday at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She had been a resident of Taylorsville for the past 5_ years. She was born May 13, 1909 in Nineveh. Her parents were Ben Galey and Cora (Wirey) Galey. She married Clancy Watson Nov. 24, 1928. He preceded her in death May 9, 1987. Survivors include two nieces, whom she raised, Linda Records of Edinburgh and Sue Randolph of Surprise, Ariz.; two brothers, Hugh Galey of Franklin and Walter Galey of Sumter, S.C.; two nephews, Maurice Galey of Fayetteville, N.C., and Fred Galey of Melbourne, Fla.; and two great-nephews, Rick Records and Stephen Records. She was a member of Nineveh Christian Church, attended Mount Carmel Christian Church for many years with her husband, and was a member of Ladies Aide at Mount Carmel Christian Church. She worked as a cook for Trafalgar School Corp. and later worked as head cook for Indian Creek School Corp. She and her husband also owned and operated a farm in Samaria for 55 years. The Rev. Joe Robertson will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. School cook ALMEDA WATSON Taylorsville EDINBURGH -- Almeda Watson, 84, of Taylorsville died at 4:42 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 1993, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She had been a cook for Trafalgar schools and worked as head cook for Indian Creek schools. She and her husband, Clancy Watson, owned and operated a farm in Samaria for 55 years. Mrs. Watson was a member of Nineveh Christian Church and attended Mount Carmel Christian Church many years. She was a member of the Mount Carmel Christian Church Ladies Aid.
