Josie Waltz dies at nursing home
A resident of Homeview Nursing Home
in Franklin for the past six years, Josie
Waltz, 86, died Sunday at the nursing home.
Born April 21, 1889, in Johnson
County, Mrs. Waltz was the daughter
of Young and Elizabeth (Goetz) Coffman.
She was married to Fred Waltz on
Feb. 16, 1938. He preceded her in death
in 1957.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m.
Wednesday at Vandivier-Parsley Funeral
Home, Franklin. Rev. Ruth Starr will
officiate. Burial will follow in Nineveh
Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include two brothers,
William Coffman and Jake Coffman, both
of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Eva Dunham,
Indianapolis; and several nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death
by eight brothers and sisters.
