==============================
Mrs. Kate Vawter, aged fifty-five years, whose home was at Glenns Valley, was thrown from her buggy Tuesday, near Morgantown, and killed. She was on her way to the home of her sister, Mrs. Obenchain, to spend decoration day and decorate the grave of her husband who was buried at Morgantown. Her horse was frightened by the harness breaking and started to run. It ran into a pile of railroad ties and Mrs. Vawter was thrown from the buggy. Her back was broken and skull fractured. Lewis Mullendore, of this city, who was driving behind on the road, assisted the woman into a house nearby where she died soon afterwards. Mrs. Vawter’s maiden name was Hickey. She was a relative of John J. Hickey, of Trafalgar, and was an estimable lady.
