Mrs. Vancleve, one of the oldest residents of Hensley township, died on Wednesday morning at 7 o’clock. Aged eighty-five [sic].

Notes: The 1880 US Federal Census for Hensley, Johnson County, Indiana records seventy-two-year-old , Virginia-born Sarah Van Cleve [sic] as living in the household of her son-in-law thirty-three-year-old, Indiana-born, Eli S. Jolliffe and her daughter thirty-eight-year-old, Kentucky-born Mary E. Jollife.
The 1850 US Federal Census for Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana records the household of thirty-nine-year-old, Kentucky-born William Vancleve and his wife, forty-year-old, Virginia-born Sarah Vancleve, which includes their ten-year-old, Kentucky-born daughter Mary E. Vancleve.
