Donald E. Thompson
  Donald E. Thompson, 59, died
Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at Johnson
Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He
was a resident of Edinburgh.
  He was born May 31, 1941, in
Bartholomew County. His parents
were Roy and Laura E. (Evans)
Thompson. He married Alice (Carson)
Thompson on Jan. 28, 1961. She
survives. Other survivors include
two daughters, Terri (Thompson)
McLean and Beth (Thompson) Caudill,
both of Edinburgh; four sisters,
Maxine Willard and Wanda Norton,
both of Edinburgh, Madeline Acher
of Greenwood and Thelma Hasch of
Columbus; three grandchildren; a
stepgranddaughter; a
great-granddaughter; and three
stepgrandchildren. He was preceded
in death by four brothers, Walter,
Harold, Floyd and Ralph Thompson;
and a sister, Mildred "Duke"
Mattox.
  He was employed for 22 years by
Town of Edinburgh at the wastewater
treatment plant as assistant
manager. He was previously employed
by Randolph Hardware in Edinburgh.
  He was a member of Oddfellows Lodge
in Edinburgh.
  The Rev. Lewis Burton will conduct
a service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at
Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in
Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4
to 8 p.m. today at the funeral
home. Burial will be at Rest Haven
Cemetery in Edinburgh.

assistant manager. Previously, he
worked for Randolph Hardware,
Edinburgh. Mr. Thompson was a
member of Odd Fellows Lodge,
Edinburgh.
  Services: 10 a.m. Sept. 13 in
Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home,
Edinburgh, with calling from 4 to 8
p.m. Sept. 12. Burial: Rest Haven
Cemetery, Edinburgh.
  Survivors: wife Alice Carson
