Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Hensley Township, Johnson, Indiana, page 245, records that William Richard Terhune died on 10 Apr 1900 [sic], aged 63 years and 25 days, in Union Township from paralysis of the heart. He was a male, white, married and a farmer, born in Marshall County, Kentucky. His father’s name was William Terhune (born in Boyd County, Kentucky) and his mother’s maiden name was Juda Ann Bates (born in Virginia). Burial in 1st Mount Pleasant on 11 Apr 1900, Forsyth & Richards, undertaker.
William Richard Terhune’s death date is wrong on both his death certificate and his gravestone as his obit was published on Friday, 6 Apr 1900. This makes his probable date of death either 29 Mar 1900 or 5 Apr 1900, depending on how you interpret “last Thursday.”
