Mrs. M. [sic John] Teet, of White River township, age ninety two years [sic], probably the oldest lady in the county, died at her home last Wednesday. Funeral occurred Friday.

The 1860 Census for White River Township, Johnson County, Indiana records 59-year-old, Delaware-born John Teet , his 48-year-old, Maryland-born wife Clarissa (maiden name unknown) Teet and their children, 25-year-old, Maryland-born, John, 23-year-old, Maryland-born James, 18-year-old, Indiana-born Parmelia, 15-year-old, Indiana-born Henry, 12-year-old, Indiana-born Emily, and 8-year-old, Indiana-born Lavinia as residents.
In 1870, the Census for White River Township records that 50-year-old [sic] Clara Teet is a widow whose children, 34-year-old John, 26-year-old Mellie, 24-year-old Henry, 20-year-old Emma, and 18-year-old Vinnie are living with her.
The 1880 Census for White River Township records that 60-year-old [sic] Clara Teet is a widow with three of her children, 42-year-old John, 40-year-old Melley and 32-year-old Emma, living with her.
