Dies Early Sunday
Mrs. Stacy Emma Coy Strohmeier, for many years a resident of Franklin, died Sunday morning at 6:45 o’clock, after being in failing health for several years. She had been ill for three weeks.
Funeral services are to be conducted in the Vandivier mortuary Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock and burial will take place in Greenlawn cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon from 3 until 5 o’clock, in the evening from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday until the funeral hour. They are invited to attend the rites.
Moved To Pisgah
Mrs. Strohmeier was born in Bartholomew County on Dec. 7, 1861 and her parents were William and Sarah Coy. When she was two years of age, the family moved to the Pisgah community and as a child she lived in that community.
She became the bride of William Strohmeier on Dec. 3, 1889 and they were the parents of one daughter, Mrs. Frieda Strohmeier Vandivier, who died Feb. 25, 1943. Mr. Strohmeier died April 23, 1937.
Mrs. Strohmeier was a member of the Tabernacle Christian church, Alexander Hamilton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Tri Psi club.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Mrs. William M. Arehart, of Jacksonville, Fla.; William D. Vandivier, Mrs. Charles H. Green and Richard Vandivier, of Franklin; the son-in-law, Dault Vandivier, and two great-grandchildren.
