Anna St John
dies at hospital

  Anna Margaret St John,
Bargersville route one, died to-
day at Johnson County
Memorial Hospital after a long
illness. She was 87.
  Mrs. St John operated a
grocery store in Banta owned
by the St John brothers for 30
years.
  A funeral service will be con-
ducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday
at the Banta United Methodist
Church with burial in the
Centennial Cemetery in
Morgan County. Visitation will
be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
at the Flinn and Maguire
Funeral Home.
  Born March 6, 1893 in Carroll
County, she was the daughter
of John O. and Hester
(Bradley) Kidwell. She
married Harry St John Nov.
17,1909 and he died in 1952.
  She was a member of the
Banta United Methodist
Church, the Bargersville Order
of Eastern Star, and the
United Methodist Women of
Banta.
  Survivors include two
children, Beryl Byers, Banta,
and Austin A. St John, Morgan-
town; one sister, Ada Henry,
Indianapolis; one grandchild
and one great-grandchild.
  She was preceded in death by
two brothers and one sister.
