Marjorie Alice Stitt
Marjorie Alice Stitt, 85, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at her residence in Amity.
She was born Sept. 14, 1917, in Amity. Her parents were Artie and Ethel Harrison. She married Lonnie Stitt on Sept. 17, 1938. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, William Stitt of Amity; two sisters, Juanita Fewell of Greenwood and Elizabeth Coy of Columbus; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a special nephew. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elaine Johnson; four brothers, Adonis, Arnold, Noel and Wilford Harrison; and a sister, Evelyn Dragoo.
She was a 1935 graduate of Edinburgh High School.
She was a farmer and homemaker.
The Rev. Denzil Hendershot will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call from noon until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
