DEATH OF JAMES STINNETT.
James Stinnett, who suffered a stroke of paralysis early this spring trimming the trees in the court house yard, was completely paralyzed Wednesday night of last week and continued to grow worse until relieved by death Saturday morning. Deceased was about sixty years of age. He leaves a wife. Funeral services were held Monday morning. Burial at Greenlawn.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Franklin, Franklin Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, Health Officer’s Record Number 29, page 240 records that James Mason Stinett [sic] died at about 3 o’clock p. m. on 28 Jul 1900 in Franklin, Indiana from paralysis of three months’ duration, aged sixty-two years, no months and twenty-four days. He was male, white, married and a laborer, born in Harrodsberg [sic], Kentucky. His father’s name was William Stinett [sic], born in Kentucky, and his mother’s maiden name Sarah Adams, born in Virginia. The informant was Mrs. J. M. Stinett [sic]. James was buried by E. G. Barnhizer, undertaker.
