EDINBURG, April 2.—Mrs. Emma Stillabower, age 76, passed away Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Prichard, on Grant street.
She was born July 31, 1868, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Goetz Daum, of Germany, and was married May 24, 1894, to Charles F. Stillabower, who with three children preceded her in death.
Surviving are seven children: Mrs. Ben Askren, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Green Park, and Marcus Stillabower, of Nineveh; Mrs. Ralph Long, Edinburg, R. R. 1; Mrs. Clarence Prichard, Edinburg; Earl Stillabower and Roscoe Stillabower, of Shelbyville, R. R. 3.
Twelve grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Charles Wirey of Franklin, also survive. One grandson, Ralph Askren, was killed December 6, 1944, while serving in the armed forces.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church, and of the Nineveh and Edinburg Christian churches since leaving the St. John’s community.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Edinburg Christian church. Rev. Powers of Nineveh, assisted by Rev. Cyrus Herod will conduct the services. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery.
