Dies At Hospital
EDINBURG — Mrs. Clara Belle Stillabower, age 88, died at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital at 3:30 a. m. Tuesday, having been admitted to the hospital ten days ago with a broken hip.
The Rev. Donald Arther, Nineveh Christian church pastor, assisted by the Rev. William Schuermann of Edinburg, will conduct funeral rites in the Mutz Funeral Home here at 2 p. m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Nineveh cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Stillabower was born in Garrett County, Kentucky, on Dec. 15, 1870, and was the daughter of William and Almeda Roth Galey. She was married to William J. Stillabower in 1890. Mr. Stillabower died on Feb. 5, 1923, and a daughter, Mrs. Edna Anderson, also died in 1923.
Lived in Nineveh
She spent most of her life in Nineveh, however she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Haslam, here for the past three years.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Ellis Haslam of Edinburg, Mrs. Lucy Smith of Franklin and Mrs. Myrtle Coy of Shelby County; three sons, William J. Stillabower of Franklin, Frank and Chester Stillabower of Indianapolis; a brother, William Galey of Edinburg, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
