Dude Steward’s [sic] child died last Thursday morning.
Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, White River Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, Health Officer’s Record Number 18, page 239 records that Ruth Stewart died at about 8 o’clock p. m. on 22 Aug 1900 in White River Township from dysentary from summer complaint of twelve days’ duration, contributory cause cholera infantum aged nine months. She was female, white and single, born in Johnson County, Indiana to Harrison Stewart and Carry [sic] V. Totten, both born in Johnson County, Indiana. Thomas Totten was the informant. Ruth was buried in White River Township on 24 Aug 1900, Covert & Covert, undertaker.
