Mrs. Stewart, of Indianapolis, who had been visiting her brother, Joseph Jenkins, died at his home Thursday evening, aged 76 years. Funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev. Miller. The remains were taken to Franklin for burial.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Certificate and Record of Death, Nineveh Township, Johnson County, Indiana, page 237 records that Lucretia [sic] Stewart died from bronchopneumonia of ten days’ duration, contributory cause nephritis at about 5 o’clock p. m. on 7 Mar 1900 in Nineveh Township, aged seventy-six years, born in West Virginia. She was female, white, and widowed. Her father’s name was Thomas Jenkins, birthplace West Virginia, and her mother’s maiden name was Nancy A. Stafford, born in East Virginia [sic]. She was buried in Franklin, Indiana on 9 Mar 1900, J. M. Breedlove, undertaker.
