Job Stewart, a well-known citizen of this place died at his home on Monday morning at four o’clock. He had been ill but a short time and his death was a surprise to many. He left a wife and no children. The funeral services were conducted by Elder Amzi Atwater of the Christian church at the residence on South Water street. The burial was at Greenlawn cemetery.

The Johnson County Indiana WPA Death Index, 1882–1920, page 197, referencing Book H-17, page 23, records that Job Stewart, a thirty-four-year-old white male, died 25 Jun 1894 in Franklin.
