Charles H. ’Bud’ Stewart

Charles H. "Bud" Stewart, 80, died Friday, April 9, 2004. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

He was born April 22, 1923, in Shelbyville. His parents were Frank and Della (Theobald) Stewart. He married Jessie M. (Phelps) Stewart in August 1955. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Karen L. Moore of Shelbyville, Tenn.; a sister, Frances Smith of Indianapolis; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and four great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Albert Stewart.

He was employed by Loomis Armored as a messenger for 15 years. He previously worked for Stenotype Supplies for 25 years.

He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Indiana Rifle Association and a lifetime member of National Rifle Association.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 950 Prospect St. in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Church Building Fund.
