Death came suddenly to Mrs. Les­ter Steinbarger, 65-year-old Franklin resident at her home at 250 Hamilton Avenue shortly after noon Monday.

She had been in failing health for about four years. Last Thursday she had suffered a heart attack and was confined to her bed. Her family was preparing to take her to Johnson County Memorial hospital at the time she died.

The body has been taken to the Vandivier funeral home where ser­vices are to be conducted at 2 o’­clock Wednesday afternoon. Dr. Golden A. Smith, pastor of the Grace Methodist church, will be in charge of the services and burial will be made in Greenlawn ceme­tery.

Friends are invited to call at the mortuary Tuesday night and Wed­nesday until time for the services and to attend the rites.

Born at Nineveh

Mrs. Steinbarger was born Nannie T. Coffman at Nineveh on March 8, 1887, and was the daughter of Young and Elizabeth Goetz Coff­man.

She became the bride of Mr. Steinbarger Jan. 20, 1909, and was the mother of a son and daughter. Her entire life had been spent in the county and for the past 36 years the Steinbargers had resided in Franklin.

She was a member of the Grace Methodist church and W.S.C.S.

Those who survive are the husband, the daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Hendrickson, the son, Arthur Stein­barger, all of Franklin.

Others remaining are three grandchildren, Roberta Steinbarger, Douglas and Nancy Jane Hendrick­son; seven brothers and sisters, Mrs. Thomas A. Mills, Jacob Coffman, Robert Coffman, William Coffman, of Franklin; Mrs. Oscar Hants, Mrs. Fred Waltz, of Nineveh; and Mrs. Ivory Dunham, of Indianapolis.
