Stephen Speigel, an aged German, who for many years had been a resident of Franklin, and who was the well-known baker by that name, died Thursday evening at his home in east Franklin. He was born in 1828 in Bavaria, and came to this country when twenty-six years old. He was married three times. The third wife and two children by former marriages survive. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H. R. Waldo.
