Death of Dr. Spees.
Dr. George Spees, a prominent and highly respected citizen of Glenn’s Valley, died Friday from dropsy, age 62 years. He was a graduate of Indiana Medical College and had practiced at Glenn’s Valley since 1871. His funeral occurred Saturday at 10 o’clock under the auspices of the Masonic lodge and Knights of Honor.

The funeral of Dr. George Spees occurred Saturday morning at Glenn’s Valley. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church, after which the burial at the Mt. Pleasant cemetery by the Masonic order. He was an able physician and led a useful life.
