Mrs. Eli Solenburg [sic] died at her home at the corner of Hurricane and Kentucky streets yesterday morning at 1 o’clock. She was an excellent Christian lady and a prominent member of the M.E. church. She leaves a husband and several grown children. The funeral services will take place this afternoon conducted by Rev. C. W. Tinsley.

Notes: The Johnson County Indiana WPA Death Index, 1882–1920, page 193, referencing Book H-16, page 21, records that Martha Solenburg [sic], a sixty-three-year-old white female, died 24 Jul 1890 in Franklin.
The 1880 US Federal Census for Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana records fifty-four-year-old, Ohio-born Eli Solenberg, his forty-nine-year-old, Ohio-born wife Martha Solenberg and their children, sixteen-year-old, Ohio-born Lizzie, fourteen-year-old, Ohio-born Wilbur and eleven-year-old, Indiana-born John.
Indiana Marriages, 1780–1992, database, records that when John A. Solenberg married Ida M. Brown on 7 Mar 1906 in Marion County, Indiana, he stated that his parents were Eli Solenberg and Martha Johnson (Reference P758; FHL microfilm 499385).
