Nellie P. Smith, 76, died Thursday, April 10, 2003. She was a resident of Edinburgh.
She was born July 9, 1926, in Tuttle, N.D. Her parents were Robert and Marie (Taasevigen) Robertson. She married Earl B. Smith on May 15, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1995. Survivors include three sons, Robert Smith of Whiteland, David Smith of Mount Auburn and Jackie Smith of Edinburgh; two sisters, Marjorie Marsh of Indianapolis and Betty Lou Land of North Vernon; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was a 1944 graduate of Mount Auburn High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. George Lutheran Church in Edinburgh. She was an avid supporter of the Edinburgh athletic programs and enjoyed reading.
The Revs. Bob Campbell and Burt Brock will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Monday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Nellie P. Smith, 76, of Edinburgh, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Homeview Nursing Center in Franklin.
Born July 9, 1926, in Tuttle, N.D., she was the daughter of Robert and Marie (Taasevigen) Robertson. She married Earl B. Smith on May 15, 1946, and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1995.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Smith of Whiteland, David Smith of Mount Auburn and Jackie Smith of Edinburgh; two sisters, Marjorie Marsh of Indianapolis and Betty Lou Land of North Vernon; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St. in Edinburgh.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Bob Campbell and Burt Brock officiating.
Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
